Wallis Suda
Creative director and founder of Feronia, the first house of luxury home wellness. Where home becomes a sanctuary to rest, renew, and relate.
Wallis Suda designs for the body and the home as if they were the same thing.
Fashion-trained at Parsons, she led the Home division at Calvin Klein, working alongside Raf Simons. There she learned that beauty earns its meaning through the friction between discipline and feeling, to create things (items?) worth living with. She cultivates relationships with exceptional mills and makers whose multi-generational knowledge gives raw materials almost supernatural properties through reverence for the material and command of techniques passed down by hand.
The idea for Feronia came from her own body. Pregnant back to back for nearly two years (or Two close pregnancies) and sick through both, she wanted a robe in which she looked chic while throwing up. She discovered that cocooning in breathable, dry, sumptuous fiber could pull her back into herself when emotion or symptoms made her feel lost. Home, she decided, should be a private wellness center. A sanctuary culture. That's the baseline.
"There is nothing passive about self-care."
Now based in Los Angeles, she's built Feronia around that conviction: wellness that nourishes the body and the spaces it moves through by reclaiming the sensual power of the maternal, untamed and deeply forgiving. Her ambition is holistic: the first true house of luxury home wellness, designed for every body, with the ease that only real luxury allows.
